From Stage to Screen: Why Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is a PR Phenomenon.

Taylor Swift, a talented and well known singer-songwriter was able to expand her popularity through an ecstatic approach. Swift is “fearless” in taking risks and approaching different businesses. Her business techniques with her celebrity status has made her empire grow.

Swift has magnified her followers by reaching out to different audiences. Her continuing tour alone, “The Eras Tour” has made her $1.04 billion profit, selling an estimated $4.35 million tickets. The release of her movie “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” a creation of her live concert allowed people who were not able to see her live whether that was due to availability, cost or time, now get the chance to see her at their local box office. This movie received $96 million in the United States and Canada. “That makes it the highest grossing concert film domestically for an opening weekend, according to AMC,” said CNN’s Krystal Hur and Ramishah Maruf.

With the release of this movie, Swift has also released exclusive AMC merchandise. That included The Eras Tour popcorn buckets, cups and posters.

Furthermore, she released this movie for streaming for those to watch in the comfort of their own home. The profit of the movie in addition to the tour was $261.7 million. This movie was open to screening in 8,500 cinemas all around the world.

During her live shows, she promotes positivity and encourages people to interact with each other. For example, for all her shows, her fans create friendship bracelets and exchange them with others. Fans decided to come up with this idea after lyrics in her song “You’re On Your Own Kid” which says “So make friendship bracelets. Take the moment and taste it.” This creates a warm and friendly atmosphere to be in.

What makes Swift extra special to her fans is her ability to be generous to a variety of foundations and communities. Amongst many of her donations is the donation to build a music educational center at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum that will inspire upcoming artists.

Overall, her PR tactics have strengthened her image and made her a beloved individual in the entertainment industry. She is meticulously precise with how she puts herself out there, which ensures she remains a topic of conversation across multiple generations.
