How PR has helped the rise in Influencers

The rise in social media influencers has taken a toll and completely changed the way social media is used today. However, public relations is a part of the many reasons influencers keep rising. Public relations is connected to how influencers connect with their followers, whether it be through a creative post and/or video or even a vlog that is well made to allow followers to know what is going on in their world.

Influencers have become the main reasoning behind product purchasing, seeing as their high following allows them to promote an item and provide a one-click system to purchase said item. “ Civic Science found that 14% of 18-to-24-year-olds and 11% of millennials had bought something within the last six months because a blogger or influencer recommended it.” This goes to show that the way an influencer is using their social media accounts will then determine the success it has in the long run. An influencer will grow in sponsorships depending on their following number along with activity which is where PR comes into place.

The only way to manage what gets posted and how often an influencer posts depends on the knowledge of PR. It is critical to research the influencers page before deciding these factors, along with keeping an eye on the analytics to find out what specific content the followers want to see and will actually interact with. Knowing how to communicate is also something that is not easily figured out and needs to be decided depending on the age factors of said followers. Every age factor uses social media differently and looks for specific content rather than the other. This is all information that should always be compiled before deciding the content process for each and every influencer. Once gathered correctly, influencers begin to gain their following, which then allows them to gain more recognition on social media.
